Creating a Strong Brand for a Conference

Hundred’s of conferences take place every day. How can event organisers use design to stand out from the crowd? MuseumNext is an international conference on the future of museums. The event takes place in cultural capitals around the world, but it faces stiff competition.

MuseumNext New York City took place in Autumn 2019. The organisers hired UK based design consultancy General Public to create everything from the promotional campaign that got people to buy tickets, through to the stage set and delegate give aways.

The strong conference brand used a bold colour palette with a pattern inspired by the NYC artist Keith Haring. The result was a sell out event.
